Hello! My name is Alex Simpson and I am currently traveling throughout the Midwest making tintype portraits of folks along the way.
My aim is to create unique physical images that speak to the depths of our individual complexity. Tangible images to be interacted with, conversation pieces, and heirlooms for generations that follow after you.
I fell in love with historic photographic processes because of their beautiful image quality, archival properties, and their unique ability to allow us to slow down and capture a glimpse into the fragile intricateness of our humanity.
